My Beautiful Grandma Tillie

Well, I know, as usual it has been a great while since I have posted. This last month was a great month. My beloved Grandma Tillie made the trek (by plane, but not easy when you are 87) from Utah to Texas to visit us. This last month was really special for all of us. Grandma is so fun and upbeat, she always keeps us laughing and was an absolute joy to have. I told her a million times that I wanted to keep her forever, but Provo is where her heart is. I will treasure the time my kids and I had to spend with her. Jack cried for three days after she left, and it goes without saying that I was a puddle of tears right along side him! Grandma played tireless games of peek-a-boo with Eliza. Something I just don't have the patience to do these days. She layed on the floor and played card games with Jack. She helped me fold laundry and do dishes, and kept my spirits high on the long days when Marcus stayed late at the hospital. She sat in the car with the kids while I ran in to do those annoying 1 minute errands that end up being 20 minutes when you have to drag both kids in every stop (I know all you moms know that is a huge favor!) She told me stories, she gave me advice, and she made me feel like a million dollars. I couldn't love her more. She is such a blessing in my life, and I am so glad and proud to call this beautiful lady my grandmother.

So fun to see photos of her and hear of her visit. I HATE those 1-minute-turned-20 errands! Well, I've tried to just accept that that is life with kids, but I so understand why having Grandma there was such a blessing!

WOW! Look at that bathing beauty! I'm so glad you got to spend so much time with her. I'm so excited she came to TX!! It's so nice for her to see where you love and all that awesome stuff. I just wish I could get my grandma to come here, she wouldn't even have to take a plane! Grandma is one special lady, she touched my heart.

Aw Bec, Grandma Tillie really is one of the cutest, coolest grandmas on earth. I love her little necklace in that swimming suit picture. What a doll! And how wonderful to have her there. Your kids are so lucky to be able to get to know their great grandma so well.

It will be good to see her when we move out to Provo. I miss her.

Miss you guys too!

Hi Ramptons! This is Jared Barlow from Marcus' youth. Was stoked to come across your blog by linking few some others. Good to see you are well in Texas...I'm envious of those winters after having just endured by first Northeast winter this past year! You have a good lookin' family...keep up the stellar track record in that department. Look forward to running into you guys...maybe in Corvallis one of these days (?). Say hello to Marcus for me. Best way to keep tabs on us is probably Alyssa's blog: www.familiabarlow.blogspot.com

All the best!
